Hurricane Alex wreaking havoc on BP Gulf oil spill

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

By Jeanna Bryner, LiveScience Managing Editor / June 30, 2010

With Hurricane Alex churning through the Gulf of Mexico Wednesday and this year’s hurricane season forecasted to be an active one, scientists are worried about how the Gulf Coast will fare from the potential wallop it could take.

Right now, scientists are predicting that this hurricane season, which officially began on June 1, could be as intense as or worse than in 2005 (the most active Atlantic season ever recorded and the year Hurricane Katrina struck).

This stormy weather has the potential to not only wreak the normal havoc on coastal areas, toppling trees and flooding inland areas, but could worsen the already devastating impact of the BP oil spill on the Gulf, spreading tar balls over a much wider area, as well as across not-yet-hit marshes, according to Ping Wang in the Department of Geology at the University of South Florida. Already, Alex has pushed oil from the spill onto Gulf coast beaches, with some tar balls as large as apples, according to news reports.

Choosing healthy foods now called a mental disorder

Schools urged to bring back the junk food “for the children” before it’s too late! Oh, yeah. And give the kids condoms too. No need to worry the working parents over it. (Government controlled health care reform in action!)

(NaturalNews) In its never-ending attempt to fabricate “mental disorders” out of every human activity, the psychiatric industry is now pushing the most ridiculous disease they’ve invented yet: Healthy eating disorder.

This is no joke: If you focus on eating healthy foods, you’re “mentally diseased” and probably need some sort of chemical treatment involving powerful psychotropic drugs. The Guardian newspaper reports, “Fixation with healthy eating can be sign of serious psychological disorder” and goes on to claim this “disease” is called orthorexia nervosa — which is basically just Latin for “nervous about correct eating.”

Milwaukee, Wisconsin Geography Lesson.

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Milwaukee Democratic County Supervisor Peggy West voted for their boycott of Arizona because it is not share a border with Mexico. She claims that if you “google,” you can find that Obama has National Guard troops on the border. She forgot to mention the EPA ban on the Border Patrol protecting the border because of “environmentally sensitive areas.” With the mention of Google, the popular search engine, let’s see what we can find out.

DISCLAIMER: I had to use Google to find the spelling for Milwaukee because I didn’t know how to spell it. So I guess I won’t pass a litmus test to hold office.

McDonald beats Chicago

Chief Justice John Marshall (1833). Strong States' Rights proponent.

If you were watching the confirmation hearing of Elana Kagan, you would have seen Feinstein and Schumer announce with glee that the Supreme Court upheld the Second Amendment, once again, and reversed the gun laws in Illinois banning handguns.

The important thing is that, reading that decision, we find what this matter of incorporation was all about. Section II, B of the Opinion of the Court reads:

The Bill of Rights, including the Second Amendment, originally applied only to the Federal Government. In Barron ex rel. Tiernan v. Mayor of Baltimore, [32 US] 7 Pet. 243 (1833), the Court, in an opinion by Chief Justice Marshall, explained that this question was “of great importance” but “not of much difficulty.” Id., at 247. In less than four pages, the Court firmly rejected the proposition that the first eight Amendments operate as limitations on the States, holding that they apply only to the Federal Government

I would have been surprised to learn that Chief Justice John Marshall wrote such an opinion, if I had not been reading his decision in Gibbons v. Ogden. I am pleased to learn that the Senators aforementioned hold in such esteem the decisions of Chief Justice Marshall’s.

Here we go again. We are now going through plenty of blunders in opening statements by the Senators. From Republican Tom Coburn’s statement about our “Constitutional Democracy” to Schumer and Feinstein showing that they do NOT KNOW the Constitution, or “…don’t care about it in instances like this.”

Democratic Terrorist activity reported.

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

Despair is typical of those who do not understand the causes of evil, see no way out, and are incapable of struggle.—Vladimir Lenin

The press should be not only a collective propagandist and a collective agitator, but also a collective organizer of the masses.—Vladimir Lenin

It is true that liberty is precious; so precious that it must be carefully rationed.—Vladimir Lenin

Terrorists have succeeded in another terrorist plot against the United States. Bombs have been unleashed in the homes of Americans across the country, yet no buildings have fallen. It is the type of terror used across this nation since the Wilson administration. Some physical “black ops,” but mostly a type of terrorism not reported by the State-approved media. It is not reported because they are the perpetrator. The terror is psychological. It is spawned by CNN, MSNBC, CBS ABC and, yes, the Fox News Network.

This terror was used by Democrats against Republican complaining that Republican wanted to end Social Security. Of course, a Constitutional Republican (sometimes mistakenly referred to as a Libertarian) would want to end Social Security. That type of phrase is exactly the type that the Democrats use to prove their point. Of course, they lie by omission.

The argument goes something like this. The Republicans want to end Social Security in favor of private investments. Look at the recent “housing bubble” and auto industry crisis. What would happen if people invested all of their money in those industries. What then?

The omissions: The “free” education that is in place by the Department of Education, run by the National Teachers’ Association union1 has taught that economics, which used to be taught in schools2, are too complex for our pretty little heads to worry over.
2nd, the taxes wrested from the hands of unsuspecting citizens for a specific purpose (that in itself is unconstitutional) were unconstitutionally diverted to the opulence of the Washington Empire.
3rd, that the Social, so-called, Security is virtually defunct and running on IOUs.
4th, the so-called collapse was instigated by, and controlled by, the Federal Reserve and cheerleaded by Congress who pressured Fannie Mae and others to get into risky derivatives and other high risk investments. It is the same terrorists method that the “National Bank” used against Andrew Jackson when he vetoed their charter and against Jimmy Carter when he fired Alan Greenspan.
5thTo end the current system does not remove the obligation that the federal government has to pay those who paid in to the system. They simply have to stop stealing the money and start putting it back in.

The program is false, but the terror is real. The Republicans will take away the pittance that we “trickle-down” to you.

A Soldier Speaks: What about Some Respect From Obama?

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

Now that General McChrystal is gone, liberals and conservatives seem to agree that McChrystal did not show sufficient “respect” for President Obama. But what about respect from Obama and his ruling liberal elite for our system, our country, and its values? What about the chain of command that makes Obama answerable to the American people and the system that he is so brazenly attempting to transform into something completely foreign to what our founders intended?

Whatever differences the liberals and conservatives have on this issue, most commentators agree that General McChrystal—and his aides—should not have said what was in the Rolling Stone interview. The agreement explains why the liberals have won the battle over the long-term fate of the United States of America. They are controlling the debate over what is appropriate and what is not.

A Left-wing Journalistic Plant in the Conservative Movement

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

A writer masquerading as a conservative who was supposed to be covering the conservative movement has quit his job under fire at the Washington Post. The writer, David Weigel, left after it came to light that he had made disparaging remarks about conservative personalities on a private email list of liberal journalists. The scandal involves The Washington Post, Reason magazine, and a network of “independent” on-line publications with funding from billionaire George Soros and multi-millionaire gay mogul Tim Gill.

In a major understatement, the Post ombudsman, or consumer advocate, says the scandal will affect the paper’s standing among conservatives. But the Post never had any standing among conservatives. This is why it is called the Compost.

Mexico to join suit against Arizona

Friday, June 25th, 2010

After Obama used Clinton to announce that he was suing Arizona, we learn that Mexico is joining the lawsuit. They entered an amicus curiae brief asking judges to abandon their oath to the Constitution to continue to allow illegal activity.

BBC News reported,

It also requires police to question people about their immigration status, if officers suspect the person is in the US illegally, and if they have stopped them for a legitimate reason.

The Mexican government submitted arguments as a “friend of the court”, or amicus curiae, meaning it is not a party to the case, but is offering a legal opinion which it believes has bearing on it.

It is in support of a case brought by a group of civil rights organisations, including the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, the National Immigration Law Center, and the American Civil Liberties Union.

The US senators pushing a controversial new bill that some fear would give President Barack Obama the powers to seize control of and even shut down the internet have rejected claims it would give Obama a net “kill switch”.

The bill, titled Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act, has been unanimously approved by the US Homeland Security committee and will be put to a vote on the Senate floor shortly.
