Actress Janine Turner, best known for her role as Maggie O’Connell in Northern Exposure, has set up a new web site in line with her political views. Constituting America is a web site that hopes to expand the knowledge of the Constitution and the founding fathers. The site targets school-aged children which, I understand, might be attributed to the fact that she was interested in the Constitution and founding fathers since she was thirteen.
The site is holding a video, essay and song contest for kids to contribute their impressions on the meaning of the Constitution. The deadline is July 4 and awards will be handed out on Constitution Day.
Since April 20, they have been running a 90 + 90 program to read the 85 Federalist Papers in 90 days. I hope that they run a program to present the anti-Federalist papers, as well.
