FLORENCE, AZ – Newly-released U.S. Census estimates show Pinal County’s population grew almost 90 percent from 2000 to 2009.
Pinal County grew by just under four percent in the last year of the analysis, July 1, 2008 to July 1, 2009.
Estimates for Maricopa County show 31 percent growth between 2000 and 2009, according to the data.
Every county in Arizona increased in population over the past decade except for Greenlee County in eastern Arizona, which dropped about six percent.
