Memorial services for Lance Corporal Matthew J. Broehm, killed while on duty in Afghanistan, will be held in Williams at the Williams Elementary School Auditorium. It was originally scheduled to be held at the Baptist Church on Grant street, but so many veterans plan on attending that it had to moved to the auditorium.
A funeral procession will start at the Williams Elementary-Middle School on Saturday beginning at 2 pm. The procession will proceed down 7th street to Route 66. It will travel down route 66 to Second Avenue, turn down to Railroad Avenue and then back to 7th street. The procession will return to the auditorium to celebrate the life of this young man. Some estimates show over 20,000 veterans attending the service
