Flags fly and half-staff at the City Hall and the red, white and blue lines route 66 fluttering in the wind as Williams, Arizona prepares for a memorial service for the loss of 22 year-old Lance Corporal Matthew Broehm. LCPL. Broehm died on November 4th with LCPL. Brandon W. Pearson, 21, of Arvada, Colo while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Both Marines were assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Signs of support for the family can be seen in the windows of may Williams businesses.
