Muslims discovered America, some text books in America claim. In direct violation of the so-called separation of Church and State, some text books claim that Mohammad received the Koran from God as actual fact. They teach that Jesus was a Palestinian.
Universities receive donations from the government of Saudi Arabia for their Islamic study centers.
This could explain why the Goldwater Institute found that many Arizona high school students could not identify the Bill of Rights or the first president of the United States of America. According to their study, only 29.5% of graduating high school students in Arizona knew that the Constitution was the law of the land.
This trend is more disturbing than one would imagine. This group consists of eighteen-year olds that are now given the duty to vote. While statistics can be skewed and there are perhaps many eighteen-year old students who do know their history, the reports of dumbing down American students takes on new meaning.
Some school have text books and certain tests that are not allowed to be taken home. There seems to have been a conscious effort to keep parents separated from the school system. In many cases where parents are forced to work several jobs, schools have become—in effect—day care centers with malleable minds.
It is apparent that students are not taught critical cognitive skills which means they will accept any belief without argument. Even that Muslims discovered America.
