Lieberman: I Was Not Brainwashed by U.S. Military; McCain: Yes, He Was

Monday, February 28th, 2011

WASHINGTON – Two senators said to be targeted by U.S. military seeking to use “psychological operations” to convince them to support the war effort in Afghanistan say they’re fine with an investigation though they don’t believe there’s much to the story.

Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., who’ve been traveling in the Middle East for the past week, joked Sunday about a Rolling Stone article released last week that alleged that three-star Gen. William Caldwell ordered his staff to use military techniques to persuade them to back more money for training Afghan forces.

Immunity Keeps Arizona State Senator Out of Jail: MyFoxPHOENIX.com

PHOENIX – An Arizona state senator says he was acting in self defense before the arrest of his girlfriend Friday night on one count of assault that allegedly was the byproduct of a jealous rage.

Police arrested Sen. Scott Bundgaard’s girlfriend Aubry Ballard after the two attended a “Dancing With the Stars” charity event that apparently included a saucy rhumba dance.

NHTSA Delays Final Rulemaking On Backup Cameras

Sunday, February 27th, 2011

According to Lauren Abdel-Razzaq writing for Auto News, the National Highway Safety Administration has postponed its final rulemaking on whether to require backup cameras on all vehicles by Sept. 2014.

The final ruling was expected to be released Feb. 28. NHTSA proposed the rule in December and gave the public two months to comment.

“The public comment period on this safety proposal only recently closed, and NHTSA will be asking Congress for additional time to analyze public comments, complete the rulemaking process and issue a final rule,” the agency said in an emailed statement.

It did not say how long the delay would last.

NHTSA estimates about 18,000 people a year are hurt in back-over accidents, with about 3,000 suffering “incapacitating” injuries. The agency said 44 percent of the incidents involve children under age 5.

If enacted, the ruling could generate as much as $2.7 billion in revenue to suppliers of backup-camera components, the administration said in its initial report.

One such supplier is Gentex Corp., which provides rear- camera display mirrors to 59 vehicles sold by Ford, General Motors, Toyota and other automakers.

Agenda 21 Part III: Maryland County Abolishes Agenda 21 – Now it’s Your Turn

Saturday, February 26th, 2011

The November elections marked a sea change in the political landscape at every level of government nationwide. Right now, all eyes are focused on the Wisconsin standoff between Governor Scott Walker and the public employee unions. But under the radar, completely overlooked by the mass media, is the unprecedented move recently taken by newly-elected Carroll County, Maryland Commissioners Richard Rothschild, Robin Frazier, Haven Shoemaker, Dave Roush and Doug Howard, who abolished the County’s Office of Sustainability. They then voted unanimously to drop out of the UN’s International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). They are the first governmental organization to do so.

For those unfamiliar with the sustainable development agenda, this might not seem like much, but it is huge. If you have been following my recent series on the subject, you will know that local Sustainability offices, under the auspices of the ICLEI’s Local Governments for Sustainability, are the tiny, visible tip of the monstrous Agenda 21 sustainable development iceberg, the ultimate goal of which is to transform American society from the bottom up into a socialist ward of UN global governance. As of today, there are approximately 600 local governments in the US who have signed on to this Trojan Horse.

Minus one.

New Study Shows That Offshore Drilling Could Make Alaska the Eighth Largest Oil Producer in the World – Ahead of Libya and Nigeria

Friday, February 25th, 2011

Friday, February 25, 2011
By Penny Starr

(CNSNews.com) – A new study says drilling on Alaska’s Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) could make Alaska the eighth largest oil resource province in the world — ahead of Nigeria, Libya, Russia and Norway.

The report — by the consulting firm Northern Economics and the University of Alaska-Anchorage’s Institute of Social and Economic Research — says that developing Alaska’s OCS could produce almost 10 billion barrels of oil and 15 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, create around 55,000 new jobs and produce $145 billion in new payroll nationally, generating a total of $193 billion in government revenue through the year 2057.

A senior policy advisor with the American Petroleum Institute, the trade group for hundreds of U.S. oil and gas producers, said in a statement about the study that offshore drilling for oil and natural gas can help with the country’s energy and economic needs.

Four Americans Killed on Yacht Hijacked by Somali Pirates

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

DEVELOPING STORY: Four Americans aboard a yacht hijacked by Somali pirates have been killed, Fox News has confirmed.

U.S. forces responded to gunfire aboard the yacht Quest at approximately 1 a.m. Tuesday, but discovered all four hostages had been shot by their captors. Despite attempts to save their lives, all four hostages died of their wounds.

“We express our deepest condolences for the innocent lives callously lost aboard the Quest,” said Gen. James N. Mattis, U.S. Central Command Commander in a news release.

Two pirates died during the confrontation and 13 were captured and detained, along with two pirates already in custody. U.S. forces also found the remains of two other pirates already dead aboard the vessel and believe a total of 19 pirates were involved in the hijacking.

The yacht Quest was hijacked on Friday off the coast of Oman and U.S. forces had been closely monitoring the vessel.

LIBYA: Popular TV cleric issues fatwa against Kadafi

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

February 22, 2011 | 4:10 am

Sheik Yusuf Qaradawi, head of the International Union for Muslim Scholars, issued a fatwa on live television (Arabic link) Monday night urging the Libyan army to kill the country’s embattled leader, Moammar Kadafi.

“It is not heroism to fight your people and to hit them with missiles,” Qaradawi said in an interview with Al Jazeera, which also hosts his popular show, “Sharia and Life.”

Libyan security forces waged a fierce attack on demonstrators in the two major cities of Tripoli and Benghazi on Monday, with many reports that the regime had ordered air strikes against protesters.

Canadian Troops To Patrol US Cities As Food Riots Feared

Monday, February 21st, 2011

Russian Military Analysts are reporting in the Kremlin today that the United States has, for the first time in its history, granted rights to a Foreign Army to have ‘full power’ over the life and death of American Citizens in their own country.

Though not being reported to the American people by their propaganda media organs, the United States Northern Command Military Leader, US Air Force Gen. Gene Renuart, and his Canadian counterpart, Air Force Lt.-Gen. Marc Dumais [both pictured top left] announced this new Military Pact this past week, and as we can read:

“U.S. Air Force Gen. Gene Renuart, commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, and Canadian Air Force Lt.-Gen. Marc Dumais, commander of Canada Command, have signed a Civil Assistance Plan that allows the military from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation during a civil emergency.

“This document is a unique, bilateral military plan to align our respective national military plans to respond quickly to the other nation’s requests for military support of civil authorities,” Renuart said. “Unity of effort during bilateral support for civil support operations such as floods, forest fires, hurricanes, earthquakes and effects of a terrorist attack, in order to save lives, prevent human suffering and mitigate damage to property, is of the highest importance, and we need to be able to have forces that are flexible and adaptive to support rapid decision-making in a collaborative environment.”

It is interesting to note, too, that the Canadian peoples, like their American neighbors to the south, were not told of these plans for their Military Forces, and as we can read as reported by Canada’s Canwest News Service, and who say:

“Canada and the U.S. have signed an agreement that paves the way for the militaries from either nation to send troops across each other’s borders during an emergency, but some are questioning why the Harper government has kept silent on the deal. Neither the Canadian government nor the Canadian Forces announced the new agreement, which was signed Feb. 14 in Texas.”

Russian Colonel Gen Vladimir Bulgakov, Commander of Russia’s Far East Military District, points out in these reports that it is ‘no wonder’ that neither the US or Canadian War Leaders want the masses of their citizens to know about these ‘unprecedented’ events as ‘soldiers by their inherent training are for use in war, not peace’.

The truth about Washington’s Birthday.

Monday, February 21st, 2011

Glen Davis

George Washington, the Father of our Country.

I just saw the liberals of FOX news in Phoenix state that we instituted “President’s Day” to celebrate the birth of George Washington. They even referred to a Rasmussen Report poll that shows that 22% of Americans polled think we should have a separate day honoring Abraham Lincoln, who was born on February 12th, while 66% said we should not. They didn’t mention the Rasmussen Reports poll that indicated that 27% of Americans felt that the United States should honor Ronald Reagan with a holiday, if another should occur.

According to that poll, fourteen-percent say that Jefferson should receive that honor. His birthday, however, is the only one listed in Title 36 of the United States Code concerning Patriotic Observances. A patriotic observances differs from a national holiday in that federal employees still have to work.

The list of National Holidays as outlined in 5 United States Code (USC) Sec. 6103, still says, Washington’s Birthday, the third Monday in February. It is erroneously referred to as “President’s day” so certain people don’t have to sully their mouths with the mention of his name.

Suffice it is to say that tomorrow, February 22nd is Washington’s Birthday which is celebrated as a national holiday on the third Monday of the month.

279th Anniversary of the birth of the Father of our Country.

Monday, February 21st, 2011

For this you have every inducement of sympathy and interest. Citizens, by birth or choice, of a common country, that country has a right to concentrate your affections. The name of american, which belongs to you, in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of Patriotism, more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. With slight shades of difference, you have the same religion, manners, habits, and political principles. You have in a common cause fought and triumphed together; the Independence and Liberty you possess are the work of joint counsels, and joint efforts, of common dangers, sufferings, and successes.

President George Washington was born 279 years ago on this day in 1732. He led the Americans to victory in the War of Independence and then served two terms as the first President of the United States. He is the only president to have received 100% of the electoral vote. He was the first and last sitting president to lead troops into battle in the Whiskey Rebellion, though no actual battle occurred.

More foreign control of our economy.

Monday, February 21st, 2011

Another sign of the “New World Order?” The Germans buying the New York Stock Exchange. This government has destroyed the industry of America, sold the auto industry (our last remaining major industry) overseas, and installed a communist health rationing system and now are selling our economic markets to the highest bidder.

Achtung Baby! NYSE To Go Deutsch In Biggest Merger On The Planet
Historically, the urge to merge has coincided with major stock market tops

On February 15 Deutsche Boerse AG slipped a $9.53 billion all-stock bid on the “finger” of the New York Stock Exchange. If approved, the merger would create what one news site called “the Goliath Bourse” — or the largest stock exchange on the planet.

So, there’s no time like the present to start learning a few key German phrases to welcome Wall Street’s would-be financial in-laws. The four expressions below make for a fitting introduction:

Wunderbar: “Wonderful,” “super,” “out of this world.”

According to the mainstream experts, the creation of the behemoth German/American bourse is an UBER-bullish event, and reflects the global economic recovery. Here, the following news items capture the overall optimism surrounding the merger:

* New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg: “This is one of the better things for New York because what you’ll do is you’ll have the two strongest stock exchanges together… This is really very good.” (NY Post)
* AND — “It seems as if the market has a very strong bid under stock prices. [Mergers & Acquisitions] is a market that people are trying to get back involved with.” (Bloomberg)

Bloomberg is praising the country that brought us the Wiemar Republic which led to the rise of Hitler.

Doppelganger: “A double, or look-alike.”

The mega-deal-zeal surrounding the potential Deutsche/NYSE merger is a spitting image of another time in recent financial history: the year 2007. Back then, M&A activity had soared to an all-time record high, valuing over $1.33 trillion. And much like today, the main focus of consolidation was on global unification. “Merger Mania Is Back With A Vengeance” said a March 30, 2007, Independent cover story, as every one from airlines to metal mines, and banks to bourses aimed to bring east and west together.

The culminating event came in April 2007, with the $14 billion merger of the NYSE and Euronext to create the first trans-Atlantic financial market AND largest stock exchange in the world.

CBS complicit in news coverup

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

My addition: If this does not show the sickness of the American mainstream media, I don’t know what does. When they are willing to sacrifice a reporter on the alter of multiculturalism, there is a real problem in the medium that Thomas Jefferson sought to protect.

Dateline — Egypt:

“[60 Minutes] correspondent Lara Logan was repeatedly sexually assaulted by thugs yelling, ‘Jew! Jew!’ as she covered the chaotic fall of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo’s main square Friday.”

Powerful reporting on an important story. Two problems: It didn’t run until yesterday, and CBS didn’t run it. The quote is from the New York Post. And it was The Wall Street Journal that reported “the separation and assault lasted roughly 20 to 30 minutes.”

But CBS? They sat on their own story. For five days, as reporters reveled amid giddy celebrations in Tahrir Square, and as President Obama praised President Obama’s handling of the Egyptian crisis, CBS reported nothing.

Navy admits wrong call on accusing dog handler

Friday, February 18th, 2011

WASHINGTON – The Navy says it wrongly accused Navy dog handler Michael Toussaint (Two-SAUNT’) of singling out a gay sailor for hazing at kennels he ran in Bahrain.

Former Petty Officer Third Class Joseph Rocha (ROH’-kah) says Toussaint singled him out for being gay, causing him mental trauma, and his exit from the Navy. Rocha was later invited to the White house to watch as President Barack Obama signed the repeal of the ban on gays serving openly in the military.

Two Naval officers now say that Navy officials have found the investigation into Rocha’s charges was “flawed,” and the claims unsubstantiated. The officers spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss a private personnel matter.
