GOP looks to gather momentum from defeat of omnibus

Senate Republicans sought to build momentum on Friday after successfully forcing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to beg off a $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, wrote a valedictory email to GOP supporters cheering the death of the omnibus bill.

“You did it. Facing pressure from you, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced Thursday night he was withdrawing the Democrats’ last-minute, 2,200 page-long, $1.1 trillion spending bill,” Cornyn wrote, crediting Republican victories in Senate races this fall for the victory.

Reid pulled the spending bill from the Senate floor after Republicans signaled that they would not support the legislation, despite some of the earmarked projects contained within the bill that different GOP senators had requested.

Congratulations Rand Paul

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

The people of the Great State of Kentucky obviously did not buy into the Aqua-budda story the media plagued Republican Rand Paul with. Or they did not care. Despite the efforts of the Republican party in that State, Dr. Rand Paul will be their next Senator.

The Republican told NBC’s “Today” show that while people “complain a lot about gridlock,” the most fiscally conservative government “is always divided government.” (Washington Post)

Perhaps it will take an ophthalmologist to help the Senate see the Constitution more clearly.

Overall, however, the Republicans did not make the sweeping change of the House. Reid pulled off victory in the Senate, but at least Nanny Pelosi learned what it is like to loose a job.

Liberty Legal Foundation adds Richard Mack law suit

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

Originally we reported that the links to the PDFs at the Liberty Legal Foundation were not working. Dawn Irion emailed us to tell everyone that they are working. For our part, we forgot to title this article. I guess everyone makes misteaks.

The Liberty Legal Foundation was established by Republican Constitutional attorney Van Irion. He is also a former candidate for Congress for the Third District of Tennessee. The Liberty Legal Foundation currently has two major law suits against the Obama Regime. One against the health care and a Motion to Intervene in the case that was filed by the Obama Regime against Arizona due to Senate Bill S.B. 1070.

Van Irion started the foundation while running for Congress by filing a class action law suit against Obama, Reid and Pelosi in August to stop the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The law suit is moving forward and you may add you name by visiting the Foundation web site.

Rory Reid

While Harry Reid’s popularity is plumetting in Nevada, his Son Rory Reid appears to be fighting to maintain his hold on the Governor’s office.

NEVADA—In addition to becoming competitive in his bid for reelection in Nevada, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is now nearly tied with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi when it comes to unpopularity among voters nationwide.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters across the country finds that 56% have at least a somewhat unfavorable opinion of Reid, while 59% feel the same way about Pelosi.

Sue Obama for only ten dollars.

Sunday, August 1st, 2010

With all of the law suits concerning Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration effort, SB-1070, most have forgotten about the law suits concerning the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare. Many are unaware of the injunction and class action law suit filed by Tennessee attorney and Congressional Candidate Van Irion that you can still join. Mr. Irion apparently found it unsatisfactory that the Tennessee Attorney General would not join the law suits by the States, so he started one for private citizens.
