Newt Gingrich

A couple years ago one of my neighbors asked me to accompany her to a tea party meeting at the Maryville, TN library which is about 25 minutes from Knoxville. I said, “Sure, I’d love to go see what they’re doing.” There were several speakers and most of it was boring classroom beginner’s education for those that were just waking up to the fact that we’ve lost our country. We paid our two dollars and sat in the back of the room. The third speaker’s topic was “Where to go for information.” When they showed pictures of websites of Newt Gingrich and Heritage Foundation and others, I just shook my head and got up and left. I was absolutely appalled that any freedom loving American would send an audience of uneducated people into the hands of those that are worse enemies than the obvious Democrat Marxists. Remember folks, “A false friend IS MORE DANGEROUS than an open enemy.”

For several months I’ve mulled over the thought of exposing everyone they suggested, Newt, Heritage, Koch and a plethora of GOP candidates running for election in 2012 for POTUS. In a previous three part article, SAVING THE REPUBLIC?, I exposed a good deal of the Heritage background, but we will need to revisit and explore more deeply the deception of this allegedly conservative think tank which is anything but a constitutional foundation.

First we’ll start with Newt who masquerades as a rightwing conservative but is one of the most dangerous enemies of freedom now hoping to gain the presidency in 2012. Some friends have told me with all the bad press he’s dead in the water, but I saw McCain resurrected, not once but twice to win the primary in the 2008 elections, so we still need to know the truth about Newt.

Canucklehead Obama bus-ted! (PHOTOS)

O Unions! Where art thou?

NY Post

WASHINGTON – President Obama is barnstorming the heartland to boost US jobs in a taxpayer-financed luxury bus the government had custom built — in Canada, The Post has learned.

The $1.1 million vehicle, one of two that Quebec-based Prevost sold the government, has been tricked out by the Secret Service with state-of-the-art security features and creature comforts.

It’s a VIP H3-45 model, the company’s top of the line, and is used by major traveling rock bands.

“That’s the more luxurious model,” Christine Garant of Prevost told The Post.

Democrat Jan Brewer puts the kibosh on medicinal marijuana

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

On May 24 it was reported that, “Governor Jan Brewer today announced that she has directed Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne to file suit by the end of the week seeking a declaratory judgment from a federal court regarding the legality of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act (AMMA).”

Democrat Brewer laud “initiatives” and “referendums”—both unconstitutional means of making laws—when 38% of Arizona voters raise the sales tax for everyone. When it comes to things she doesn’t like, she sues to stop it. You might remember, years ago, when we passed a medicinal marijuana initiative and the State legislature overturned the “will of the people” because you were too stupid to understand it.

What happened to the “will of the people?” What happened to your vaunted Democracy, Brewer?

“For the state employees charged with administering the medical marijuana program or the Arizonans who intend to participate as consumers, it’s important that we receive court guidance as to whether they are at risk for federal prosecution,” said Governor Brewer. “As explained in a recent letter from the U.S. Attorney for Arizona, the federal government considers marijuana a controlled substance. Arizonans deserve clarity on an issue with such dire legal implications.”

The federal government considers marijuana a controlled substance. Guess what. They consider Codine a controlled substance. They consider Atorvastatin a controlled substance and the side-effects of this drug are much more unpleasant than marijuana. There are a number of “controlled substances” prescribed by doctors everyday. Particularly ones produced by companies they have invested in. No one is controlling that.

After almost a hundred years, you would think Arizona would finally get the Tenth Amendment.

Democrat governor Jan Brewer could just tell the feds to stick it. She could arrest any fed who violates their oath to protect the Constitution by enforcing these laws contrary to the Ninth Amendment.

There is nothing in the Constitution that allows the federal government to make laws concerning drugs in the first place. Only a twisted contemporary concept of the Interstate Commerce clause is used for them to take mock authority over the issue. Without the drug trade, of course, politicians would not get richer and the CIA would have less black op funds.

States do have a right to regulate the use of substances, but not ban them completely. Particularly something that is less dangerous than the “legal” drug—Alcohol.

Day 4: Duties of government (the same considered)

Friday, June 17th, 2011

[11] To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

The Federalist Papers cover this in detail. It is one of the reasons that they wanted to prevent each state having an army and Navy. If the Southern states, for example, went to war with a foreign government with which the Northern states enjoyed friendly relations, there could be a problem. Letters of Marque and Reprisal are permissions to cross borders to effect reprisals. If States were allowed to issue these separately, they might use them against one another. There is no record of this occurring that I know of while we were a Confederation.

That is the logic for the limitation of the states having their own armies and navies, as well. Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution clearly outlines the responsibility of the Central Government in this area.

King seeks to issue a cease-and-desist order on an Executive Order.

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011

Republican Representative Peter King of New York has introduced legislation to defund Executive Order 13166. Executive Order 13166, Improving Access to Services for Persons with Limited English Proficiency, was signed into law unconstitutionally by Bill Clinton on August 8, 2000.

Representative King gained notoriety for his alleged inflammatory hearings on the terrorist activities of Muslims.

H.R. 1307 would nullify the E.O. and provide that, “No funds appropriated pursuant to any provision of law may be used to promulgate or enforce any executive order that creates an entitlement to services provided in any language other than English.”

Arizona vetoes as of today.

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

These are the bills, thus far, vetoed by Governor Jan Brewer. Governor Brewer currently has over 160 bills on her desk that she has until May 2nd to act upon.

HB 2177 presidential candidates; qualifications; affidavit
Requires a presidential candidate that is for running for office to prove their eligibility to run and hold office by providing documentation that proves citizenship, age and if the candidate meets residency requirements.

Would have required the filing of an affidavit with appropriate proof attached. Brewer objected to “Christian” and “Jewish” materials being part of the proof requirement.

H.B. 2338 special districts; secondary levy limits
Would have put a cap on secondary property tax levels by cities and counties. Now they can charge pretty much what they want. A tax limit on any property tax is not only appropriate, but needed.

FEC Probes Obama’s 2008 Campaign Finances

Monday, April 18th, 2011

“The FEC is conducting a routine review — as is true with the McCain campaign, the Romney campaign and many others — to determine if they have any questions with the information reported,” Katie Hogan, deputy press secretary for Obama’s re-election campaign, told Roll Call. “Given that there was an historic number of contributors and contributions — nearly 4 million and over 9 million, respectively — this takes time.”

Barack Obama raised a record-shattering $750 million on his way to winning the 2008 presidential election. But that stunning flood of cash has triggered an investigation by the Federal Election Commission, which is taking a detailed look at the campaign’s records and transactions.

According to Roll Call, the audit of Obama’s financial records began Barack Obama, Federal Election Commission, Investigation, 2008 Presidential Electiontwo years ago. It was not required by law, since the Obama campaign did not accept federal matching funds and funded itself entirely with private donations. But allegations of improper contributions, coupled with the FEC’s suspicions of certain transactions, led to the probe.

Obama recently officially launched his 2012 campaign effort, and a representative there admitted to Roll Call that a review was under way.

Lieberman: I Was Not Brainwashed by U.S. Military; McCain: Yes, He Was

Monday, February 28th, 2011

WASHINGTON – Two senators said to be targeted by U.S. military seeking to use “psychological operations” to convince them to support the war effort in Afghanistan say they’re fine with an investigation though they don’t believe there’s much to the story.

Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., who’ve been traveling in the Middle East for the past week, joked Sunday about a Rolling Stone article released last week that alleged that three-star Gen. William Caldwell ordered his staff to use military techniques to persuade them to back more money for training Afghan forces.

Cops Charge 7-Year-Old for Bringing Toy Gun to Class

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

A 7-year-old child allegedly shot a Nerf-style toy gun in his Hammonton, N.J., school Jan. 18. No one was hurt, but the pint-size softshooter now faces misdemeanor criminal charges.

Hammonton Police began an investigation into the “suspicious activity” at the Hammonton Early Childhood Education Center Jan. 18 after school officials alerted them to the incident.

The “gun” the child brought to school was a $5 toy gun, similar to a Nerf gun, that shoots soft ping pong type balls, according to the school’s superintendent.

Officials also say that there was no evidence of anyone being threatened. The child’s mother told school officials that she didn’t know her son brought the toy to school.

Court Boots Rahm Emanuel From Chicago Mayoral Ballot

Monday, January 24th, 2011

Fox News

An appeals court in Chicago ruled Monday that Rahm Emanuel doesn’t meet the residency requirements to run for mayor of Chicago and ordered his name be pulled off the ballot. The three judge panel voted 2-1 against Emanuel.

In a major blow to Emanuel’s campaign, Monday’s ruling overturned a Cook County Circuit Court ruling that upheld a Chicago Board of Elections decision to let Emanuel run in the February 22nd election.

The court agreed with Emanuel’s contention that he met Chicago’s voter residency standard but added that wasn’t enough to allow his run for mayor.

A Time for Choosing

Friday, December 24th, 2010

by Ronald Reagan
October 27, 1964

Not too long ago two friends of mine were talking to a Cuban refugee, a businessman who had escaped from Castro, and in the midst of his story one of my friends turned to the other and said, “We don’t know how lucky we are.” And the Cuban stopped and said, “How lucky you are! I had someplace to escape to.”—Ronald Reagan

To a significant degree, Ronald Reagan’s election to the presidency stems from this speech, given on national television on behalf of, and sponsored by, Barry Goldwater’s 1964 presidential campaign. The speech remains amazingly fresh as a statement of modern American conservative philosophy four decades after it was delivered.

Thank you very much. Thank you and good evening. The sponsor has been identified, but unlike most television programs, the performer hasn’t been provided with a script. As a matter of fact, I have been permitted to choose my own ideas regarding the choice that we face in the next few weeks.

I have spent most of my life as a Democrat. I recently have seen fit to follow another course. I believe that the issues confronting us cross party lines. Now, one side in this campaign has been telling us that the issues of this election are the maintenance of peace and prosperity. The line has been used “We’ve never had it so good.”

But I have an uncomfortable feeling that this prosperity isn’t something on which we can base our hopes for the future. No nation in history has ever survived a tax burden that reached a third of its national income. Today, 37 cents of every dollar earned in this country is the tax collector’s share, and yet our government continues to spend $17 million a day more than the government takes in. We haven’t balanced our budget 28 out of the last 34 years. We have raised our debt limit three times in the last twelve months, and now our national debt is one and a half times bigger than all the combined debts of all the nations in the world. We have $15 billion in gold in our treasury–we don’t own an ounce. Foreign dollar claims are $27.3 billion, and we have just had announced that the dollar of 1939 will now purchase 45 cents in its total value.
