Welcome home, brother.

Saturday, December 11th, 2010

Texas Democrat Allan Ritter told associates he is switching parties next week. The move will give Republicans a super-majority in the Texas chamber.
Texas Tribune reported, via Free Republic:

State Rep. Allan Ritter, D-Nederland, is telling associates he will switch to the Republican Party next week. Ritter was not immediately available for comment.

That would give the GOP a 100-member supermajority in the Legislature’s lower chamber — a number that allows them to pass constitutional amendments and other matters without seeking support from the Democrats.

A Ritter switch would also give Speaker Joe Straus another vote in the House Republican Caucus, which could turn out to be the forum where the next speaker is chosen. Straus foes within the GOP say they want a leader who can get the post without depending, as Straus did two years ago, on support from the minority party. Straus says he has the majority of the Republicans on his side; a vote inside the caucus would prove it.

Ritter, who would have been a candidate two years ago had the Democrats had a majority, is now with Straus.

The East Texan is in a conservative district; in fact, after the Republican sweep in the latest election, his is the most conservative seat in the House represented by a Democrat. He was one of the survivors in the elections last month, a result that might have been different if the Republicans had found a candidate to run against him.

György Schwartz…

better known to the world as…

George Soros, was born August 12, 1930 in Hungary. Soros’ father, Tivadar, was a fervent practitioner of Esperanto—a language invented in 1887, and designed to be the first global language, free of any national identity.

The Schwartz’s, who were non-practicing Jews, changed the family name to Soros, in order to facilitate assimilation into the gentile population, as the Nazis spread into Hungary during the 1930s. Soros is an Esperanto word meaning “to soar.”

In 1944 Hitler’s henchman Adolf Eichmann arrived in Hungary, to oversee the murder of that country’s Jews. The Soros children were all given fake identity papers, and were shipped out to various Christian families. George Soros ended up with a man whose job was confiscating property from the Jewish population. Soros went with him on his rounds.

Soros has repeatedly called 1944 “the best year of his life.”

The Demonization Of The Tea Party Movement

Friday, November 5th, 2010

Once upon a time, news anchors at least attempted to conduct themselves in a professional manner. But on election night 2010, quite a few of the anchors on the various news networks threw all standards of professionalism right out the window and did everything they could to demonize the Tea Party movement. As you will see below, Tea Party candidates were not just called “wacky”, “kooky” and “extremists” on Tuesday night. On MSNBC alone, Michelle Bachmann was repeatedly asked if she was “hypnotized” as the news anchors openly laughed at her while she was being interviewed, and there was a roundtable discussion which went on for an extended period of time about how Rand Paul, by himself, was going to cause a massive worldwide economic depression. If MSNBC even had an ounce of integrity left they would fire the whole team of anchors that covered election night, but we all know that is not going to happen. The truth is that the establishment is scared to death of the Tea Party movement now, and the executives at these various networks will almost certainly be directing their news people to demonize prominent Tea Party politicians more than ever.

What you will get with Democrats and McCain.

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely GOP Primary Voters in the state shows McCain attracting 54% of the vote, while Hayworth earns 34%.

For Hayworth, this represents another decline in support. In April, he picked up 42% of the vote. That fell to 40% in May, 36% in June and 34% in July.

For McCain, the 54% level of support is his highest yet.

“Some other candidate” picks up seven percent (7%) support, and six percent (6%) are undecided.

Some other candidate is likely Jim Deakin whom people are claiming is giving McCain the election. Splitting the ticket. Taking votes from Hayworth.

Tim Geithner Doesn’t Get The Budget Or Our Currency

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

At least Ben Bernanke isn’t the only person in government who doesn’t really understand our monetary system. Over the weekend Tim Geithner paraded himself all over the weekend talk shows while he proved that he barely deserved to pass econ 101. That’s right, the Secretary of the US Treasury doesn’t get it.

The interviews mostly began with Mr. Geithner distancing himself from the entire cause of this crisis. Although he was effectively the fox in the hen house (he was President of the NY Fed while we experienced the grossest bank expansion/leveraging experiment in the history of the world) Mr. Geithner continues to make it sound as if he was saddled with this problem and played no role in its cause:

Friday, July 23, 2010

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer was struggling earlier this year but now holds a commanding lead in the campaign to keep her job.

A new Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey finds Brewer leading Democrat Terry Goddard by a 56% to 37% margin. That’s little changed from a month ago. Just two percent (2%) prefer another candidate while five percent (5%) are undecided.

23% Say U.S. Government Has the Consent of the Governed

Friday, July 16th, 2010

The notion that governments derive their only just authority from the consent of the governed is a foundational principle of the American experiment.

However, a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 23% of voters nationwide believe the federal government today has the consent of the governed. Sixty-two percent (62%) say it does not, and 15% are not sure.

These figures have barely budged since February.

NAACP President tries to downplay resolution

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

The NAACP is trying to downplay calling the Tea Party movement the “R” word. According to the Kansas City Star reported:

The Rev. Jesse Jackson told reporters in Kansas City that the focus on the tea party was a “diversion” from more important issues, while NAACP President Ben Jealous said the resolution was just a small part of a bigger agenda and blamed the media for focusing too much on the tea party.

“I give a 42-page speech. Half a page is focused on the tea party,” Jealous said. “We need the media to pay attention to the issues that are most important to this country” such as jobs, education and crime.

Conservatives reacted angrily after learning of the resolution, approved by delegates at the NAACP’s national convention this week in Kansas City.

The sign says…

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

WILLIAMS—This election cycle in Williams centers around who will take the job vacated by retiring magistrate William B. Sutton Jr. The list of candidates has been narrowed down to six and growing. The candidates, all Republicans, are Wade Simons, Andrew Hamby, Anne Shummway, Danny Harness, Rob Krombeen and Dennis Wells.

The Justice of the Peace district in Williams covers Valle, Parks and Ash Fork as well as Williams, Arizona.

One of the complaints surfacing from this election has been the signage cropping up around the city. They are appearing on posts and cars parked on the streets. One person complained that the sign placed by Rob Krombeem on First Street at Saya’s Gas station makes it difficult to see the traffic when turning.

When confronted, Mayor John Moore said, “I certainly understand the need for signs. But I think it can be overdone.”
